Reading Ephesians 3 this morning, which I dearly love and in this chapter you find so much richness, just want to share a portion of that rich word today. Starting at verse 17 we have these words: So that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith: that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and the length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Did you get that? that works in us. We have the power! God gave us the power. We are always saying well God is going to have to do this or I hope God does that, when all the while, He has given us the power to bind the enemy, to release what needs to be released. To speak the truth of the gospel, knowing that His word will never return void, knowing that we can do all things through Christ that gives us strength. Before I got the true revelation of the fact that we do the binding and God stands by it in Heaven. I was praying and I said Lord I ask you right now to bind this and the Lord stopped me in mid conversation and said "you bind it" I said yes Lord and ever since then I have changed my way of praying. Now, I say Father your words says that whatever I bind on earth will be bound in Heaven and I bind this (whatever it is) in the name of Jesus and render it ineffective and void from this point on. He has given us the power, we need to learn to start using it. Let's get plugged in today to the power that has already been given to us.
He has given us everything that we need. We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!,2 Corinthians 5:21, He has given us the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit of God! He has given us authority and power to do whatever needs to be done to bring folks to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! He has already done all that He is going to do! He is now seated in Heaven. No more labor, Jesus said on the cross it is finished and it is finished. He has done His part, He gave us the commission of what to do which is to preach the gospel to every nation, every person, to love God and love people. He has given us His word as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. He has given us all of the promises in the word, all we have to do is receive that they are for us, to state them, decree them, believe them and stand on them. We don't have to beg God for anything! All we have to do is thank Him for what He has already done! He has provided salvation, healing, deliverance, comfort, provision, protection, peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control, faith. All we have to do is maintain what He has given us. We just steward the things that He has given us.
I see so many people that don't have a clue what they have in Christ. You can tell by the way that they talk, how they pray and how they act toward you when you do take your God given authority and dominion in this earth realm. When you say, I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and so have you, they will reject it because they are still thinking of themselves as an old sinner, that is dirty and defiled and has no kingdom provisions or perks. We are not to be weak, beat down, depressed, oppressed people. We should be the happiest people in the world! We belong to the Kingdom of almighty God and we are his ambassadors in this earth realm. We can speak on His behalf, we can decree a thing and it will come to pass, we can lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, we can stand in faith on the promises of God, because God is not a man that He would lie and He has given us His Word and it is true. We don't have to beg God and say oh Lord please, please, please protect me today Lord, we should say, today God I thank you that the angels of the Lord are encamped round about me, I thank you today Father that you have given them charge over me, just thank Him for what He has already done and for what He has already provided.
If our own fathers gave us gifts and we kept them wrapped up and stuck under our beds and then begged and pleaded to him for what he had already given us that would be foolish wouldn't it? Well...how much more foolish is it when God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, he took the stripes for our healing and then He himself gave us authority and we still pray and beg as if we have been given nothing. We must realize who we are in Christ. We are joint heirs with Jesus, which means that God loves us just as much as He loves Jesus, that means that we have an equal inheritance with God. So today raise up your head and say about yourself what the Word says: You are blessed and highly favored, His favor surrounds you like a shield. He goes before you to make the crooked paths straight, and His angels are around you and protecting you, just waiting for the Word of God to come out of your mouth so that they can perform it, goodness and mercy are following behind you. God loves you with an everlasting love and He has given you His Word to be a road map on this journey, He will never leave you or forsake you and He has given you every spiritual gift that you need to do what He has called you to do.
