He Is Worthy

Reading Psalm 96:1-6 This morning: " Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise, He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and glory are in His sanctuary. Wow! What an awesome and mighty God we serve!

The Word tells us in Isaiah 66:1 "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Now folks that is a mighty BIG BIG God! Since our God is so BIG why do we think that He isn't able to take care of us? Why do we think that He is so small that we can put Him in our little box. He is so BIG that we can't even fathom or comprehend His greatness! He is the Lord strong and mighty, mighty in battle, Psalm 24:8. He is The Creator, The Word says in John 1:3 "Through Him all things were made; without HIm nothing was made that has been made." So, our God made every single thing that exists in nature. We can't fabricate anything on this earth without first using something that already existed because He created it. Now that is a mighty BIG God!

This God of ours is worthy of our praise. He is the only one that is worthy. The Word tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise,Psalm 100:4 I have been reading alot lately in the book of Revelation and there are many praise and worship scenes in that book. Here is just one that is described, Revelation 5:11, now this is the Apostle John speaking of that which he saw in Heaven. v11. Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12. In a loud voice they were saying: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!" v13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: " To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" v14 The four living creatures said, "Amen", and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Wow! Can you just picture this now?  You have all of these multiplied thousands of angelic beings worshiping and praising God and then every single creature (animal) on the earth, under the earth and in the sea all praising and worshiping God and when they finish, the four living creatures say Amen, which means so be it and then the elders fall down and worship God. So basically the Angels start the chorus, the animals from everywhere on earth and everywhere continue the praise and worship and then the creatures in Heaven agree by saying Amen and then the elders fall down and worship the Lord? This is phenomenal. Oh my what a mighty God we serve!

How wonderful it will be to praise and worship Him in Heaven, Oh how awesome and breathtaking and miraculous that will be. But, wait why don't we do that right now? Why don't we worship our God and praise His holy name right now? He is worthy of all of our worship and our praise right now!! We don't have to wait to be with all of Heaven and all of the holy angels and the creatures in Heaven and on earth and under the earth and with the elders to worship God! We can and should worship Him right now! He has redeemed us from sin, from the curse of sin and death. He has given us dominion in this earth realm, He has healed us from all sicknesses and diseases. He has blessed us and favored us above all people. He loves us with an everlasting love and He says that we are the head and not the tail, He says that we are blessed in the city and blessed in the field and blessed when we come and when we go. Why can't we worship and praise Him for that right now! He is worthy!!! Let's praise Him and worship Him now! We need to be in good practice for when we cross over into that Heavenly realm cause from what I have been reading about Heaven there is a whole lot of worship and praise going on up there!
