Bathe Your Leaders

I hear so much running down of our leaders, whether it is on a local level, a state level or all the way to the White House with our President. This is not right! The Word of God clearly tells us to pray for our leaders, 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 says: " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- 2. for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4. who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. How can we argue with this word? Clearly we are to pray for our leaders because it is the will of God, it pleases Him, the Word says. Doesn't matter if you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent or a member of the I couldn't care less if I tried Party, you as a Christian are to pray for your leaders, all leaders not just the ones that you have a common belief system with, all leaders.

I hear people constantly tearing down our President and saying all manner of evil things about him and those that lead this country. How in the world is this helpful? Especially as Christians we are to rise above our national beliefs and let the Word of God reign in our lives, not our political notions and ideals. We should be bathing our leaders in prayer daily. Interceding for them, this is what the Word says, not what I say, if you don't like it take it up with the Author of the Bible, if He recants, then we can change what it says, but, until then, the Word stands and we all know that He isn't going to change His Word. I see so much on Facebook, Twitter and all social media really about our leaders some good, some prayerful folks, but, mostly sharp-tongued, hateful comments that are not helpful. We need fervent, effective prayer for this country and it's leaders. We need folks that will stand in the gap for our President and lift him up in prayer. The Bible tells us that blessed is the nation who's God is the Lord and this nation has turned from God.

The Word doesn't say if the President, or the Congress or Senate shall do everything right and make perfect laws and statutes that I will hear from Heaven, oh no! the Word says this: "If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.", 2 Chronicles 7:14, so then, it is the job of the Christians to humble ourselves, pray to God, seek His face, turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear and forgive and heal this land. The leaders, the horrible sinners that everyone wants to talk about all the time are not the problem, we are the problem!! If God is going to save, heal, and deliver this land, it is going to be because some Christians find an altar of prayer, get on their face before the God of all creation, crucify that flesh through humility and pray until something happens. How far down is this country going to have to go before Christian people do what the Word of God clearly says to do? How far into the abyss are we going to sink before we realize that this is our responsibility?

Stop talking bad about our President and all leaders, start praying for this man and all leaders everywhere in this world to bring peace to our land again. Talking about it, isn't going to get the job done. The only thing that ever changes anything is PRAYER! Everyone keeps talking about how dirty our leaders are and how they do this or that, well let's bathe them in prayer. Prayer changes things people. Some folks might get upset with this but, I don't care. Enough is enough! Christians need to be acting like Christians. It is not our job to judge anyone, God is our judge and He is everyone's judge. It is our job to pray, pray, pray, fast, fast, pray and pray some more. Keep praying until peace, safety, prosperity is restored to this country. I will say Amen to that if noone else will! AMEN!
