Here a word, there a word, every where a word

Why is it that we think that we have to have 3 angels, a prophecy, and a visitation from the prophet of the week before we think that we have heard from God?The word of God clearly tells us : My sheep know my voice, John 10:27 tells us. So, if we are His sheep, then we should know His voice. We shouldn't need to hear anything from anyone else. Sure, God uses people at times to confirm His word. That’s just it though, it is to confirm what He has already said!

It seems we are always on the run to go here, and to go there to hear this prophet or that prophetess to get a "Word" from God. Why? Why can't we get our own word from God, on our own knees as we seek His face? As we pray, and as we fast, and seek His face, He will give us the "Word" that HE wants us to have!  The word of God clearly tells us that we should beware when people are saying oh, the Lord is over here, and the Lord is over there! Just because someone says that they are of God, or from God, or have a word from God does not make it so!

 We have to learn to discern what the Lord is saying to us for ourselves. Every time someone says to me hey we are going here or going there to hear this person or that person, oh they just came off of a 40 day fast, and they have heard from God! We are going to see what God has to say to us! Why? Why can't you seek God for yourself? Why do you have to seek out some other person to tell you what to do or not to do for that matter? God hears, and answers our prayers, He doesn't need for us to go around willy-nilly seeking a sign all of the time. The word of God says it is a perverse people or nation that is always seeking a sign, Matthew 16:4, It's like if we don't get slain in the Spirit and lay out in the floor, or speak in tongues or get a "Word" from God every time we walk into the house of God, we think that we are missing something, and that we need to go out searching for it.

 I am here to tell you that God is always speaking to us, but, are we always listening to Him? I try daily not just to talk to Him but, to then listen for what He is saying back to me. Why bother praying, if we aren't going to listen for the answer? I know that some people may not receive this word, the Lord already told me that, but, He told me to say it , and I am doing as I was told to do. We DO NOT! need to run around like a bunch of crazed ants looking for God! He is always with us. The word says that He is with us always, and will never leave us or forsake us, So, why then are we constantly looking for Him? He isn't lost. He hasn't gone anywhere.

 We need to grow up in God, and realize who He is, and what He has done for us. We need to learn how to pray, fast, listen for His word to us, not to run around always looking for a prophetess or a prophet or whoever to tell us what God said or didn't say. It is time to grow up in God, and act like true followers of Christ. Not little babies that just got saved early this morning. Yes, He gives us preachers, pastors, prophets, evangelists and teachers to help us, but, He did not intend for us to be prophet chasers. Dream chasers, reaching for a feeling all of the time. It isn't about a feeling, a goosebump, it is about knowing who He is, and what He has done, and what He is doing in the earth, in His last move of the spirit before He comes to take His bride out of the earth. It is time to grow up! It is time to bring in the harvest into the storehouse of the Lord God, and stop worrying about a word from this one or that one. God has been speaking, and He continues to do so.

 He is speaking, are we listening? I hope, and pray that we learn not just to pray, but, to listen as well. His sheep know His voice. Are you one of His sheep? Then you should know His voice. Listen, and you will hear. The word of God says to him that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying. Well, open up your spiritual ears, and listen to what the Lord is saying to you. He will speak to you, if you are willing to listen to Him. It's like when you are on the phone with someone and you are trying to tell them something, and they just keep on talking, and you just stop, and give up, because you realize that they are not listening to you. Well, that is the way it is with God. Why should He tell you anything, if you refuse to listen to Him? Why should He tell you anything, when you don't listen, and then run off somewhere seeking out a human to tell you something that God said? That doesn't make any sense at all. Listen, hear, act on what He says.

 The more you listen, the more He will talk, and then you won't always be in a constant search for a "word" from God. When someone comes to me and asks me did the Lord give you a word for me? I am waiting for a word from the Lord. The first thing I say to them is, have you read the Word? Have you asked the Lord in prayer to give you the word that you need? And if so, have you waited and listened for it? Listen folks, He is speaking all the time and I know and realize that some folks are more tuned in to His frequency than others, I get that but, we must learn to pray for ourselves, read the word for ourselves, seek the Lord for ourselves. We can’t stay babies forever. Let’s grow up in God and get that word out and read it and believe and receive it for ourselves. We have a couple in our church that are baby Christians. They get in that word and they study out those promises and they stand on them and are already teaching others how to do so. They aren't waiting on someone to come and give them a specific word. The Bible was written for us to feed on, it is our spiritual food. Oh taste, and see that the Lord is good. His word is life to us, and when we read it and seek the Lord, He will speak to us, that is just all there is to that.
