You Do Not Carry Your Burdens Alone

Good Wednesday morning. Burden God with what burdens you. Burdens of life involve a heaviness of spirit. Whether the burden that weighs us down here is one of guilt such as the one that consumed David's thoughts, the fear Peter experienced, or the doubt Thomas carried, Jesus has invited us to bring them all to Him.

We are not built to bear burdens alone. When we pass them on to the One who wants to bear our burdens, He replaces them with forgiveness, healing, and restoration. No burden is too heavy for Him.

( Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 ). Have a blessed day.

I Will Not Fear

Good Tuesday morning. In the midst of every trial, God is on our side. When trouble comes into our lives, God, who is full of mercy and love will always be attentive to us and provide the protection we need. "I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear." This is what we need when the economy falters and our finances can't keep up. It's what we need when a relationship we cherish falls apart. No matter what our situation, as a follower of Christ, we know where to find help. "The Lord is on my side." ( The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. Psalm 118:6 ). Have a blessed day.

Be Still

Good Monday morning. God's whisper of comfort quiets the noise of our trials. In our darkest moments, we can rest, for our Lord conquered death on our behalf. Be still, and allow Him to calm your greatest fears.

( Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 ). Have a blessed day.

The Grace Of The Father

Good Sunday morning. We deserve punishment and get forgiveness; we deserve God's wrath and get God's love. In the parable of the "Prodigal Son" despite all that the son had done to the father, he was still his son.

This reminds me that I'm accepted by God because of His grace, not because of my merits. It assures me that I'll never sink so deep that God's grace can't reach me. Our heavenly Father is waiting to run to us with open arms.

( The Son of Man has come to seek that which was lost. Luke 19:10 ). Have a blessed day.

He Is Coming Soon

Good Saturday morning. Live as if Christ is coming back today. A "COMING SOON" announcement often precedes future events in entertainment and sports, or the launch of the latest technology.

The goal is to create anticipation and excitement for what is going to happen, even though it may be months or years away. While reading the book of Revelation, I was impressed with the coming soon sense of immediacy permeating the entire book. Rather than saying, "Someday, in the far distant future, Jesus Christ is going to return to earth," it says phrases like, " things which must shortly take place" and " the time is near" and in the final chapter the Lord says three times , "I am coming quickly." Even though it's been 2000 years since these words were written, "Quickly" doesn't seem appropriate for our experience of time.

It's quite obvious that our time table and God's time table are not the same. It has been said that with God's timetable a thousand years is as one day withthe Lord. It is written in the Word that no man not even the angels in heaven know the date, time or hour that Jesus will return to earth. So rather than focusing on a date for God's return, the Lord is urging us to set our hearts on His promise that will be fulfilled. We are called to live for Him in this present age looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

( "Surely I am coming quickly." Revelation 22:20). Have a blessed day.

Something About That Name

TGIF! The most precious name is Jesus. There's just something about that name. The name of Jesus is above every name. A song by Bill and Gloria Gather reminds us why we love that name so much. He is "Master" and "Savior." What depth of meaning there is in the names that describe the Lord.

When we mention the great name of Jesus to those who need Him as Savior, we can remind them what He has done for us. Jesus is our Savior. He has redeemed us by His blood, and we can give our lives wholeheartedly to Him. JESUS! Let all heaven and earth proclaim His glorious name. ( God also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 ). Have a blessed day.

Jesus Is The Seeker

Good Thursday morning. Does the Creator care? Someone once said, "Life was like a wild goose chase without the goose." It can feel like a search for something that's always elusive. In the midst of the search, however a book as trustworthy as the Bible, assures us that the Creator of the universe cared so much for us that He came seeking after each of us.

In a world of despair, rejection and loneliness, the Bible offers hope and encouragement. God does care for you! If God does really care for us and is seeking us, then everything now depends on our willingness to trust Him. If Jesus is God in the flesh, then apart from Him we will never know real joy, real meaning, or real peace in life.
God is our Creator and He seeks a personal relationship with each of us. Have you responded to His sacrificial love with faith and accepted His invitation to everlasting life, forgiveness, and peace?

( For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should no perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18 ).

 Have a blessed day.

Worry Ends Where Faith Begins

Good Wednesday morning. Worry ends where faith begins. As God's children we can turn our worries over to someone who has everything perfectly under control even especially when we feel it is not. Just as God knows each and every star by name, He knows us individually and personally.

We are each under His watchful care. If we are inclined to worry, we can turn that worry over to the Lord. He is never too weary or tired to pay attention to us. He has all wisdom and all power, and He loves to use it on our behalf. The Holy One who directs the stars has His loving arms around us.

( Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you. Psalm 55:22 ). Have a blessed day.

Surrender Your Garden

Good Tuesday morning. Spiritual growth occurs when faith is cultivated. I love to garden and if it weren't for the weeds it would be wonderful. But when I have to wrestle with weeds, it reminds me of the garden of Eden; it was a perfect place until Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

Then thorns and thistles became a reality for them and every gardener since. The Bible also mentions another garden; the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus, in deep distress, pleaded with His Father to find another way to reverse sin's consequences that were born in the garden of Eden.

Jesus surrendered to His Father in Gethsemane by uttering words full of obedience in the face of great pain and suffering; " Not My will, but Your will be done." Because Jesus surrendered in that garden, we now harvest the benefits of His amazing grace. May this help us to surrender to His weeding of sin from our lives.

( Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Matthew 26: 41- 42 ). Have a blessed day.

He Is My Rock

Good Monday morning. Refuge can be found in the Rock of Ages. When singing a song, do you ever stop and just listen to the words and what they mean? "Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee." Those words express what many of us want when we encounter people with evil intentions or people characterized by pride, cruelty, and lack of regard for God.

When we are the target of someone's wrongdoing, we remember the testimony of the psalmist: "The Lord has been my defense, and my God the rock of my refuge." As our rock, God is dependable and strong. As our refuge, He can provide safety until the storms pass. With God as our defender, we don't have to fear what others will do. We can trust that God will support us during times of trouble.

( He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress ; my God in Him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2 ). Have a blessed day.

Prayer Changes Things

Good Sunday morning. God's help is only a prayer away. When we are in desperate need, prayer springs naturally from our lips and from the deepest level of our hearts. When we are frightened out of our wits, when we're pushed beyond our limits, when we're pulled out of our comfort zones, when our well-being is challenged and endangered, we reflectively and involuntarily resort to prayer. "O God, Help us!" is our natural cry. The language of prayer is forged in the time of trouble. When we cannot help ourselves and call for help, when we don't like where we are and want out, when we don't like who we are and want to change we use a primal language and this language becomes the root language of prayer.

Prayer begins in trouble, and it continues because at some level we are always in trouble. It requires no special preparations, no precise vocabulary. Prayer springs from within us in the face of necessity and in time becomes our habitual response to every issue both good and bad we face in this life. Since seeing the movie "War Room", I have changed my way of praying and getting down to business with God. I feel by changing my prayer life that my faith has increased and I feel closer to God. What a privilege it is to carry everything to God in prayer.

At this time I would like to thank everyone for their prayers for my mother and our family this past week. Mother is doing great has a long road of recovery ahead of her but with God's help she will do great.

( By prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 ). Have a blessed day.

Remembering His Faithfulness

Good Saturday morning. Remembering God's provision for yesterday gives hope and strength for today. Sometimes when we face times of trouble we may get spiritual amnesia and forget the grace of God.

But a good way of reestablishing a thankful heart is to set aside undistracted time and remember God's past provisions for us and give thanks. The word mercy means "steadfast love." It refers to God's faithfulness.

He has promised to be present always to care for His children. By remembering specific ways God has provided for us in the past, we can change our perspective for the better. God's steadfast love endures forever!

( Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:1 ). Have a blessed day.

Exercising Your Faith

Good Friday morning. Faith is nothing more or less been actively trusting God. Genuine faith is never meant to be locked up in the heart of the believer, it is meant to be shared with the world.

If you sincerely seek to share your faith, you must first find it. As your faith becomes stronger you will look for ways to share it with family, friends and others. You will be amazed at what marvelous things God can do with you and through you if you just place your faith, trust and life in His hands. With God all things are possible.

( Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11: 1 & 3 ).

Thanks for all the prayers for my mother. Continue to pray for her recovery now. Thank you. Have a blessed day.

He Is Our Anchor

Good Thursday morning. In order to realize the worth of the anchor, we need to feel the stress of the storm. Some stages in life are relatively carefree, but by the time we reach adulthood we will all face some difficult times. Are you facing a difficult challenge? If so, remember what Jesus said, "Take courage and do not be afraid." Take your fears and your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. The next time we are afraid remember the battle has already been won at Calvary. We, as believers, can live in the promises of our Lord. So when tough times come, depend upon friends and family but most of all on God. He is always there.

He promised us He would never leave us nor forsake us. God is my deliverer and my protector, my provider, my strong tower, my shield, my portion, my refuge. Whatever the challenge you may be facing God can handle it. And He will if we will only ask in faith believing. If you are being assaulted by circumstances that you cannot understand, don't give up, just call on His name. We must learn to trust fully on God in both good times and bad. It's easy to have faith when everything is going well and we're on the mountain top. But when life takes and unexpected change for the worse, our faith is tested. In times of trouble and doubt, God remains faithful to us and we must retain faith in ourselves. The hope we have in Jesus is the anchor for the soul.
Something sure and steadfast, preventing drifting or giving away lowered to the depth of God's love. ( He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:my God; in Him will I trust. For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91: 1, 2, and 11 ).

Have a blessed day. Please keep my mom and our family in prayer today. Mother's surgery is at 7am. God bless.

God Is In Control

Good Wednesday morning. Troubles are unknown; God's providence is certain. Life is not a straight line leading from one blessing to the next and then finally to heaven. Life is a winding and troubled road with unknown perils and troubles, but we can be certain of God's providence, security, and care. God is not just showing up after the trouble and cleaning it up.

He is plotting the course and managing the troubles with far-reaching purposes for our good and for the glory of Jesus Christ. From whence comes my help? This does not express doubt but affirmation in the Lord who rules supreme. The Lord is fully alert and has secured the journey of His people with providential care.
The Lord will continue to help, preserve, and walk with His people.

( He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:3 ). Have a blessed day. Remember to keep my mom and my dad in prayer.

Access To The Throne

Good Tuesday morning. God's throne is always accessible to his children. The expression "red tape" describes the annoying way that bureaucracy prevent things from getting done. Bureaucratic red tape is almost legendary, but there is one place where it's never an issue and that's the throne of God. When our hearts are broken or our lives are troubled, there is no "red tape" hindering our access to God.

Jesus paved the way so that we can have access to enter boldly into the presence of the King of heaven. So remember, when your heart is hurting, you don't have to cut through a lot of red tape to present your needs to God. Through Christ, we have full and immediate access.

( Through Jesus also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:2)

Continued prayers for my mother please. Have a blessed day.

Caring For Others As He Has Cared For You

Good Monday morning. God comforts us so that we can comfort others. I've noticed through the years that those who have suffered are quick to comfort others. Christians have learned they can use the trials they've been through to help others going through similar difficulties. Have you been sick? Lost a loved one? Been imprisoned? Unfairly treated? In all of our trials, God promises to bring something good out of even our darkest moments.

One key way this takes place is when we share the comfort He offered us with those who are now going through trials. We are comforted by a Savior who knows our suffering, and we honor Him when we pass His comfort on to others. May we never leave someone to suffer alone. If we know the trail another is on, God will held us guide them to Him that's the surest comfort of all.

( My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.James 1:2-3 ). Have a blessed day.

Your Name Is In That Heavenly Book

Good Sunday morning. God opens the gates of heaven to those who open their hearts to Him. The focus of our joy is not merely that we are successful but that our names are inscribed in The Book of Life. But how can we be sure of that? God's Word tells us, " If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved." The living God who gives life to the dead also poured out His rich mercy and great love by sending His Son Jesus to this earth.

Through Christ's death and resurrection, we are made alive. When we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we go from death to life. Now we live to rejoice in His goodness. In Revelation 21, John makes a breathtaking description of the Holy City that awaits those who trust Christ. Then he writes, "nothing impure will ever enter it nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life." The Book of Life is God's heavenly manifest. Is your name written in it?

( Rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20 ). Have a blessed day.

He Loves Me

Good Saturday morning. God loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is. Nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God. He loved us before we were born, and He loves us now. This is our identity in Christ; it is who we are God's beloved children.

That is something to think about throughout the day. Like John, we need to say, "I am the disciple Jesus loves!" And repeat it to yourself all day long. Or we can sing that familiar children's song in our hearts, Jesus loves me, this I know. As we carry that truth with us throughout the day we will bask in the warmth of His love.

( Keep yourselves in the love of God. Jude 1:21 . Have a blessed day.

Keep The Door Closed

Good Friday morning. Each sin has its door of entrance; let's keep that door closed. The temptation to go behind the hidden door of secrecy in our lives and do things that dishonor the Lord haunts us all. Indeed, we are all capable of turning our own integrity into a myth of turning our testimony for Jesus into a sham.

No matter what the temptation we are all vulnerable. So, how do we avoid giving in? We acknowledge the universality of temptation. We recognize the dangerous results of giving in to sin. We keep accountable to fellow believers. And we plead with God for help not to fall. Only God's grace and power can keep us from falling and pick us up when we do.

( Blessed is the man who endures temptation. James 1:12 ). Have a great day.

The Compass Of God's Word

Good Thursday morning. The Bible is like a compass: if followed, you're going in the right direction. Though we may read many books, the Word of God is our initial point. Nothing can compare to the book of books, the Word of God.

When we allow the Bible to be our guide in all of life, We can say, "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"

( It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 ). Have a blessed day.

In Your Suffering You Are Not Alone, I Am With You.

Good Wednesday morning. Our faith may be tested so that we may trust His faithfulness. The church at Smyrna a 1st century congregation suffered persecution for Christ and was challenged to be faithful unto death. Their spiritual commitment have not gone unnoticed by God. And for the suffering that was to come, Jesus offered this encouragement, do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.

Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. The Lord understands what we are going through now and what we will face in the future. So there is suffering in this world, He promises eternal life to His children.

In His strength We can be faithful unto death. ( whenever I am afraid I will trust in God. Psalm 56:3 ). Have a blessed day.

Holy Spirit Is Our Comforter

Good Tuesday morning. God comforts us so that we can comfort others. When people suffer we long to help. Remember our Heavenly Father is the ultimate source of every tender mercy, kind word, and helpful act that brings encouragement and healing. The Greek word translated "comfort" means "a calling to one's side."

The words comfort and consolation appear repeatedly in today's Bible reading as a reminder that the Lord holds us close and invites us to cling to Him. As the Lord wraps His loving arms around us, we are able to embrace others "with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

( Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3 ). Have a blessed day.

Knowing His Word, Knowing His Voice

Good Monday morning. Listening for the voice of God. Would you know it if you heard it? Just as the words we speak come from our hearts, so do the words we write. They reveal who we are. As we become familiar with God's voice we learn    who He is and how He expresses Himself.

However, BEWARE! Satan, tries to make himself sound just like God. By using God's words in a slightly altered fashion, he comes up with convincing arguments for things that are untrue.
Satan has led many astray. God went to extremes to make sure we'd recognize His voice. He not only gave us His Word, He gave us the Word made flesh, Jesus, so that we will not be easily deceived or misled.

( The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten Of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 ). Have a blessed day.

God's Path To Wisdom Is Through Humility

Good Saturday morning. Humility brings wisdom. Wisdom resides with the well-advised, those who listen and learn, those who allow themselves to be instructed. There is wisdom in those who humble themselves and those who set aside their own understanding; who listen to the other person's point of view; who allow their own ideas to be corrected. This is the wisdom from God that spreads peace wherever it goes.

( Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advise. Proverbs 13:10 ). Have a great day.

Don't Waste Your Today Worrying About Tomorrow

TGIF!!! Life is to be lived here and now! Worry or anxiety is spening today trying to figure out tomorrow. We need to learn to use time God has given to us for what He intended. Very few people know how to live each day to the fullest. Jesus said, That Satan comes to steal your life. But you have the power not to let him.

Quit spending today worrying about tomorrow, today need your attention. God's grace is on you to handle whatever you need for today, tomorrow's grace will not come until tomorrow, so don't waste today.Reminds me of the old hymn I Know who holds Tomorrow.

Love the words of that song. ( So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow For tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own.

Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. Matthew. 6:34 ). Have a great day.

Receive The Gift Of Rescue

Good Thursday morning. Through His cross, Jesus rescues and redeems. The BIBLE tells of an amazing rescue. Because of Adam and Eve's disobedience, all of mankind is trapped in sin. Unable to break free, everyone faces certain death, physically and eternally. But God has provided us a rescuer, Jesus Christ. Everyone who accepts the free gift of salvation that is offered through His death and resurrection is freed from sin's grip and its resulting death penalty.

Jesus is the "firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." He was the first to be raised from the dead, never to die again. Likewise, all will be given life if we put our faith in Christ. Are you still trapped in your sins? Accept Jesus' gift of salvation and enjoy the freedom of life in Christ and eternity with Him.

( Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. Acts 16:31 ). Have a blessed day.

His Path Is Best

Good Wednesday morning. Our path may have obstacles, but God will lead us. There is a faithful saying: "All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant." Some of God's paths for us are rough and rugged, others tedious and boring, but all are filled with His love and faithfulness.

When we come to the end of our journey and know what we then will know, we will say, "God's path was best for me." ( Ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16 ). Have a great day.

Casting All My Cares On The One Who Cares For Me

Good Tuesday morning. God is my Father, I will never think of anything that He will forget, so why should I worry? It's hard to keep from worrying when our lives are so uncertain, and filled with problems and needs. Apostle Peter offered these encouraging words; "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."

Those instructions were not given to help us avoid suffering, but so we can find peace and power to stand victorious against the attacks of Satan. Instead of being consumed by anxiety and worry, we are set free to enjoy God's love for us and express it to each other. Our goal should not be to see how many years we can live but instead to live fully in loving service to the Lord for all the years we are given.

( Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 ). Have a blessed day.
